The new crèche of the XVIth district is ready

On 17 October, the Cseperedő Nursery in the 16th district of the capital was officially opened , according to an announcement by the district municipality, which is the investor, and the contractor Épkar Zrt. Facebook post. 

At the event, Péter Kovács, mayor of the district, recalled, among other things, recalled that the building originally served as a nursery school, most recently 40 years ago, and that in addition to its current complete exterior and interior transformation, it has undergone several changes in function over the past decades: it has housed primary school pupils and even served as an employment centre.

Zoltán Kivés, Deputy State Secretary for Local Government, representing the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development, said that the handover of the crèche also means the development of the community. In his speech, Kristóf Szatmáry, local Member of Parliament, also stressed the role of the project in supporting families.

64 more young children to look after

The work began in June 2023 began in June 2023 in the Lándzsa Street housing estate on Vívó Street, where five group nurseries were established with a usable floor space of 954 square metres. A geothermal heat pump is partly responsible for the institution's energy supply. A playground has also been built, and a well-equipped gym and a salt room will also be available for young children.
