BMW and Mercedes' electrolyte supplier to build its first European plant in Szolnok
The Chinese electrolyte producer KunlunChem is building its first European plant in Szolnok, and the HUF 40 billion investment will create 100 to 20 new jobs, it was announced at a ceremony in Budapest.
Péter Szíjjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said:
The Chinese electrolyte company is building its first European plant in Szolnok with HUF 40 billion, which will create almost 100 to 20 new jobs. KunlunChem is one of the world's five largest electrolyte producers, and will be a supplier of state-of-the-art technology for BMW and Mercedes electric cars.
Preparations are under way to conclude cooperation with the local vocational training centre
High-tech operations would not be possible without a solid foundation, and Szolnok has a long tradition of this, as the city has always been a bastion of the Hungarian chemical industry, the Minister added.
As it was said, the Chinese company also wants to rely on local workers, so it is important to cooperate as closely as possible with the Szolnok Vocational Training Centre.
