Market Csoport aims to build a facility combining the latest technologies and environmentally friendly solutions.

The new logistics centre of HAVI Logistics Kft. not only serves efficiency and functionality, but also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, according to the contractor's Facebook page Market Építő Zrt. Facebook page.

According to the post, a number of innovative architectural and technological solutions are being used to achieve this. One of these is waste heat recovery: by converting the waste heat generated during the process cooling, the entire heating, cooling and hot water supply will be provided. In addition, the Energy Management System (EMS) will guarantee efficient energy use through intelligent building management.

Beekeepers will be planted in order to preserve biodiversity, in line with food safety and legal requirements. A central water filtration and softening system will be installed to provide filtered water. To promote sustainable transport, electric car chargers will be installed not only for cars but also for trucks.

The project meets the highest sustainability standards, BREEAM Very Good and EU Taxonomy requirements.

Construction in line with the latest EU directives

The foundation stone for the logistics company's distribution centre in Alsónémedi foundation stone was laid on 15 November 2024. The building, with a floor area of nearly 18,000 square metres, will include dry and temperature-controlled rooms as well as rooms suitable for storing chilled and frozen products.

As previously stated by Sándor Scheer, founder-partner and CEO of Market Építő Zrt., this is the first investment of the company in which the EU taxonomy criteria are applied in every phase, which also meets HAVI's sustainability objectives.

The new logistics centre, which will play a key role in the region, is scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of 2026, according to HAVI Logistics Kft..
