Shopping park network expands further in Northern Hungary

A new shopping centre is being built in Salgótarján. CPI Hungary, a major player in the domestic property market, is expanding its internationally renowned Stop Shop network with a modern complex in the heart of the county seat, next to Lidl. A 7,566-square-metre building will be constructed in the shopping park, which will house 12 shops. The contract was awarded to KÉSZ Építő és Szerelő Zrt..

The 7500 square metre shopping centre will be easily accessible

According to the investor, the first phase will include 12 retail outlets, 361 parking spaces, 82 bicycle storage areas and a playground. The opening is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
The L-shaped building of more than 7,500 square metres will be easily accessible from the Rákóczi út roundabout and Csokonai út. Several shops offering clothing, shoes, electronics, drugstores and household accessories are planned to open.

The network has 170 thousand square metres of retail space in Hungary

The Stop Shop network of shopping parks operates more than 130 units in ten countries in Central and Eastern Europe. In Hungary, 14 Stop Shops are part of the CPI Hungary portfolio, with a total of 170,000 square metres of retail space available for rent and 320 tenants. Commenting on the Salgótartján investment, Mátyás Gereben, Country Manager of CPI Hungary, said:
