Several historic buildings in Debrecen may be renovated in the coming years

The Debrecen local authority has signed a two-year framework agreement worth 393 million forints with TÖMB 2002 Kft. for the renovation of the city’s listed buildings.

The local government of Debrecen has launched a call for tenders for the renovation of listed buildings within its administrative area. The winner of the public procurement tender, TÖMB 2002 Kft., will be responsible for modernising the listed buildings over the next two years. The company must carry out the necessary renovation work on the buildings and structures owned by the Debrecen local authority on the basis of site visits and the technical specifications and/or plans agreed on site.

According to the notice, the successful tenderer’s tasks will consist of the following work packages:

  • A comprehensive renovation of a listed building, including mechanical, electrical (high- and low-voltage) and architectural works, covering a total area of at least 300 m² net2 on the ground floor;
  • Retrofitting of waterproofing against groundwater in a listed building, totalling a minimum of 250 m² net2 surface.
