One of the most important steps in the gradual accessibility improvement of the station is the construction of a new high platform next to tracks 12 and 13.
At Mecsekalja-Cserkút station, the track will also be renewed, and between Pécs and Mecsekalja-Cserkút, curve correction and track replacement will be carried out on 1300 metres.
Until 20 September, an all-track renovation will take place at the capital's Keleti station. Work started a week and a half ago, and on Friday we had the chance to learn more about the details during a press tour.
The size of the Keleti station and the directly adjacent railway facilities may surprise readers less familiar with the subject.
4.5 billion forints will be spent on traffic acceleration works at the capital's railway junction.
From 25 August, work will start on one of the country's most important railway stations.
Next year, the Eastern Programme will see new investments.
