M7 tri-lane mixing plant reaches milestone
The first trial phase of the new asphalt mixing plant Duna Group under construction has started in Polgardi, magyarepitok.hu reports. Our newspaper will also publish a detailed photo and video report on the Fejér County mixing plant in connection with the event.
This event is the equivalent of a bush party at a mixing plant
The first trial run of the hot mix asphalt production system has now started at the mixing plant, which is located close to the M7 motorway, but construction is not yet complete. The first hot mix asphalt was installed on the site to improve the internal traffic routes.
According to the information we have received, this event is roughly the equivalent of a bush party for the construction of a blending plant in the building construction industry. It means that there is still significant work to be done on the project, which should see full-scale trial operation start in about a month.
The Duna Group invited the local government of Bourgogne to the launch of the trial phase on Monday, and local mayor László Nyikos attended the event.
The mixing plant also enables significant recycling
As previously indicated, the mixing plant will be established by Duna Group for the operation of the M7 motorway and its planned three-lane expansion, utilising the site of a former mixing plant in a town located halfway between Székesfehérvár and Lake Balaton. The mixing machine was relocated from the four-lane road 83 between Győr and Pápa to the plant, which is being built as the most modern asphalt mixing plant in Hungary. The asphalt production machine, which previously operated in Tét, has been equipped with a hot recycling system that allows for significant recycling, as reported at the time of commissioning in more detail when it was put into operation.
The new blending plant will be built in the southern tip of the small town in Fejér County, on an industrial estate, so the traffic associated with the delivery and collection of the product will not affect the settlement during its future operation. Duna Group has also leased a raw materials warehouse on the industrial site in Polgárd and is planning a further major investment to set up the group's Transdanubian office in Polgárd.
