Plans for the 2×2 lane section of the M60 between Pécs and Szigetvár may be ready
From a construction industry perspective, interesting new information has been published in the Official Gazette, which is reported by VG.hu reports in bama.hu article. As they write, a decision has been announced that a conditional public procurement procedure for the preparation of the construction plans for the section of the M60 motorway between Pécs and Szigetvár will be announced by 31 March at the latest.
A 37-kilometre section of the 110-kilometre-per-hour design speed road, with two lanes of traffic, paved on both sides, and a central dividing lane, is now available for construction.
As the Baranya County newspaper recalls, the preparation of the works had started earlier - as we reported earlier, the designers had already been selected - but the official justification was that the preparations were suspended in order to protect the reduction of the electricity bill and to meet defence objectives during the war in Hungary's neighbourhood.
