The MKIF completed 8 kilometres of upgrades 4 days ahead of the original schedule.

On the side of the M3 motorway leading to the capital, between kilometres 13 and 21, the outer and inner lanes of the road have been renewed in two layers, and the binder and wearing courses have also been replaced by the maintenance company MKIF Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt.

With the completion of the works, the section of track was reopened to traffic four days ahead of schedule – as revealed in the company’s Facebook post.

The removal of the diversion started on Monday morning - after the rush hour - on the border side, in order not to obstruct traffic heading to Budapest. By half past 2.30 p.m., cars were able to drive as normal on both sides of the road.
