What's the situation on the M1? MKIF answers in a detailed report
The expansion of the M1 motorway is not merely about new lanes, but a system-wide development – as revealed in the latest episode of the „Mi a pálya?” video series launched by MKIF Zrt. . According to the report, the project is far more complex than a simple expansion: the aim is to create a motorway with a longer lifespan, greater sustainability and improved safety for road users.
The report, which also features Domonkos Koch, an innovation engineer, answers the question of whether
- how this section exceeded its capacity limit,
- what technical criteria are used in the construction of a modern motorway surface,
- what measures will make the new track structure more durable,
- In line with international trends, how is milled asphalt being reused?
- and why it is preferable to use longer detours rather than several shorter ones.
The authors of the post post in which the video was published, they explain in advance that a detailed technical and forestry segment will also be released to make the processes even clearer.
