Future infrastructure builders welcome - Duna Group Szabadegyetem again in August
Higher education students can apply for the unique professional programme Duna Group Szabadegyetem. Students of civil engineering, architecture, hydraulic engineering, geodesy, geoinformatics, mechanical engineering and IT who are interested in the world of infrastructure are welcome to apply.
The three-day programme is completely free of charge - with full board and lodging - so register as soon as possible, as the Free University is only available for 40 people.
Over the three days, participants will hear presentations from some of Hungary's best experts and see some of Hungary's most exciting infrastructure construction projects first-hand:
can visit the construction site of the M44 motorway and the Duna Aszfalt central asphalt laboratory in Lakitelek and the Szolnok Karcagi Gábor Flood Protection Training Ground in Szolnok.
To register Duna Group Szabadegyetem on the website.
Unique opportunity
"We believe it is important to provide the next generation with a platform where knowledge sharing is the main focus, and for us this is Duna Group Szabadegyetem", said László Tóth, Chairman of the Board of Duna Aszfalt Zrt., adding that the initiative aims to prepare young people for the challenges of the future.
Over the three days, participants will gain an insight into the behind-the-scenes of infrastructure construction, while also making valuable contacts. As well as focusing on the most exciting infrastructure projects in the Hungarian construction industry, this year's Duna Group Szabadegyetem will also focus on digitalisation and InfraBIM, which will be explored from a practical perspective.
BIM in the lead role
"This year, the Duna Group Szabadegyetem will focus on digital construction, i.e. infrastructure development driven by high-tech tools and technologies. This is a really special focus area and we are very happy to introduce this summer's students to the current practice of future theories," added Beatrix Szabó, head of the BIM division of Duna Aszfalt Zrt..
The Duna Group Szabadegyetem aims to give future infrastructure builders a glimpse into the world of digital construction during their university years. In August, Duna Group will show them what road and bridge construction looks like in the age of digitalisation, featuring high-tech machinery and technologies, and introducing students to 3D models, drones, sustainability considerations, technological innovations and construction techniques - all in the field, in practice.
