Buildings that have had a decisive impact on the image of Kelenföld receive the most prestigious building industry award

The Etele Plaza, built at the junction of Kelenföldi railway station, metro 4 and the M1-M7 motorway, was designed by Paulinyi & Partners Zrt. and built by Pedrano Construction Hungary Kft.. The structural construction of the building was partly carried out by Bayer Construct Zrt., while the load-bearing structures of Peri were used for the construction of the mall.

As previously reported, the more than 66 000 m2 complex will include a fashion store, a grocery store, restaurants, cafés, a cinema, a fitness centre and a children's playground, in addition to the fashion shops. The building is Hungary's first smart mall, where customers will be helped to navigate and find the ideal parking space via a self-developed mobile app and cloud-based services.

The building is rated BREEAM Very Good

The external appearance of the mall is defined by the largest continuous glass façade in Hungary, the press release emphasises. "With the green-roofed, direct terrace connection of the spacious restaurant level, the complex represents the latest in shopping centre design," they add.

The shopping centre has been awarded the Access4You Gold certification, which means that the building is fully accessible for disabled access and toilet use. Etele Plaza, which has been awarded the BREEAM Very Good rating in the retail category, is the first shopping centre in Hungary to achieve one of the highest environmental building ratings in the construction phase for its sustainable solutions.

A unique work not only in the capital but also at national level

The Budapest ONE office building, also designed by Paulinyi & Partners and built by Pedrano, has been designed and is now designed to meet the highest expectations of energy-cost-sensitive tenants. The building's wave-line design and its facade of coloured lamellas make it a unique creation not only in the capital but also at national level.

The complex will feature a panoramic rooftop running track, a spacious and green indoor recreation courtyard, innovative community spaces, bike storage and changing rooms with showers, among other amenities.

The first floor of the office building was the first in Hungary to receive the highest Platinum rating of WELL, which assesses aspects that have a positive impact on the health and well-being of employees. And the second and third phases of the building have simultaneously achieved the BREEAM Excellent environmental rating for sustainable buildings.
