Kazincbarcika's new swimming pool will be FINA certified

A real water complex is being built next to the Boating Lake in Kazincbarcika, which, according to the plans of 3H Építésziroda. The combination of the two different functions as a single architectural unit will be reflected in the new building, where the 90-degree shift of the building sections and the interaction of the masses with each other and their surroundings have created a harmonious whole. The ice rink is parallel to the stream and sunk one level into the ground, while the swimming pool is level with the road, offering a magnificent view of the Boating Lake in front of it. The colours of Kazincbarcika, famous for its facade paintings and art projects, are also reflected in the building: the neutral exterior will conceal interior design elements related to the „colourful city” concept, which will also filter through to the exterior space through the large openings, glass walls and slats.

All elements of the swimming pool are completed

The swimming pool will be built in two phases with a gross investment of more than HUF 6.6 billion, managed by the Kazincbarcika Sports Centre „Delfin” Water Sports Club, with a total usable floor space of 8,264 m². The construction of the first phase is already underway, carried out by FK-RASZTER Építő Zrt.. During this phase, the entire structure of the swimming pool will soon be completed, with a 50-metre swimming pool suitable for international competitions, compliant with FINA standards, with a fixed seating capacity of 250, as well as the associated mechanical and electrical installations. The car park required to serve the complex will also be completed during this phase.

In the newly announced second phase, the contractor is responsible for completing the missing specialist and landscaping work, as well as constructing the outdoor pool. The technical content of the main specialist work in the second phase, which will be carried out in the separate area, is as follows:

• carrying out the structural works of the outdoor pool
• the interior design and related electrical works, the installation of automation
• building services (air conditioning, heating and cooling, water and sewerage);
• installation of sports technology: in the first phase, only the 50 m swimming pool lane dividers required for swimming competitions and the elements necessary for their placement and storage will be completed, so the second phase will include the purchase and installation of the complete sports technology equipment.
• the 15-metre teaching pool, the 12-metre teaching pool, the hot tub, the warm-water pool, the plunge pool and the 33-metre outdoor swimming pool, as well as the associated mechanical works, will be provided with the necessary auxiliary equipment.

The task includes:

• civil and structural engineering: construction of outdoor swimming pools, paving, fencing;
• electrical and low-voltage installations in the first phase of the prefabricated premises;
• installation of solar candelabras;
• the construction of utility connections within the plot;
• Mechanical installations and master-builder works in the first phase of the construction of the premises;
• garden and landscape architecture: landscaping and planting;
• swimming pool technology equipment: wellness area and training pools;
• complete installation of audio-visual systems;
• the purchase of sports technology items.
