A modern bus depot is now serving Nyíregyháza

The new depot for the bus fleet serving local transport in Szabolcs County has been completed and was presented to guests and members of the press at a ceremony on 19 September 2023. A complex has been built for the buses providing public transport in Nyíregyháza, under the general construction of KE-VÍZ 21 Építőipari Zrt. This complex fully meets today's requirements and is also capable of serving future developments in a timely manner.

The project was commissioned by the Local Government of Nyíregyháza County, and the building was designed by ’A’ Stúdió ’90 Kft.. The facility was built on Tiszavasvári Road, in the immediate vicinity of the CNG filling station already completed as part of the project.

Several project elements have been completed during the investment, which started in spring 2022. These are:

• office and porter building,
• repair hall,
• manipulation paving and bus parking area,
• waste storage and cold storage,
• car parking and bicycle storage,
• fuel filling station,
• and related supporting artefacts and equipment.

Gábor Héver, the project manager of KE-VÍZ 21 Zrt., informed us about the major works in the final phase of the project. The last period saw the completion of the interior finishing works and façade cladding. The strong and weak current systems have been installed and tested in live operation.

The delivered workshop equipment was put into operation, the bus wash, the lifting equipment for lifting the buses and the exhaust gas extraction system were installed. The workshop also passed the test with a test line suitable for technical testing of trucks. The basalt concrete and other pavements, as well as planting and irrigation, were also completed on the outside areas.

As we reported in our previous article reported in our previous article, a 60,000-litre underground tank was installed under the diesel filling station built to supply fuel to buses.
