The University of Pécs is modernising two of its buildings

The University of Pécs is carrying out two similar developments in parallel, and has published its pre-project calls for tenders on TED.

In one of the projects, the winner will have to carry out an energy modernisation of the Biophysics Building of the University of Tartu, while in the other one, the institution will also carry out an energy modernisation of the Heart Clinic Building.

In the case of the Biophysics Building, the first demolition works to be carried out under the public procurement contract are the insulation of the building envelope and the replacement of the windows and doors, including the building services, the electrical installations and the low voltage installations. The works will include the installation of shutters and blinds and the insulation of the loft space in addition to the insulation of the façade. In addition, the building's radiators and lighting fixtures will be upgraded.

The University of Pécs will also renovate the building of the Department of Cardiology, according to the other recently announced public procurement. This project will also require the demolition of the existing stone facade cladding, as well as demolition works to re-insulate the building envelope and replace the glazing of the facade windows. Other improvements include upgrading the mechanical installations in the basement and installing a new façade insulation system with stone cladding. In addition, more than 1,300 luminaires will be replaced with LED luminaires, the shutters and blinds will be renewed and the steel structures of the façade will be repainted. A new heat receiving station will be installed in the basement and the existing heat centre will be refurbished, but the building's heat dissipation systems will also be upgraded.
