Spectacular progress: the construction of the prefabricated façade of a building in the zugló development has started

Work on the Zenit by Bayer project in Zugló, in the construction of Bayer Construct Zrt., continues at the usual accelerated pace during the winter months.

Despite the cold weather, work is progressing according to plan in the new, multifunctional district of the 14th district, where a residential building and seven office buildings are being constructed, surrounded by themed spaces and promenades. The district will be one of the greenest areas in Pest. The construction of the individual energy-efficient facilities is taking place simultaneously with the work of Bayer Construct Zrt., according to a specific schedule. The structural construction of all buildings is already underway. Gergely Szalai, chief engineer of the Zenit by Bayer facility, informed our newspaper that organisational problems arose due to the rainy weather, and the maintenance of internal roads and drainage within the buildings gave the construction team additional tasks.

 

 

Some where the facade is already visible

The most spectacular phase of construction is the residential building comprising 168 flats is in its most spectacular phase of construction, with approximately 83 per cent of the work already completed. Viewed from the inner courtyard, the modern exterior and playful façade are already evident, with anthracite surfaces blending with clinker brick cladding and glass railings.

The eight-storey homes, accessible from three staircases, will have a single-storey underground garage and ground-floor storage and parking. The interior courtyard and roof garden will feature a landscaped garden with benches and a playground, designed by a landscape architect.

 

 

The mixed-use O1 building next to the residential building has reached 30%, the most advanced of the office buildings. Commercial units - supermarket, restaurant, bank, fashion and other services - will be available below the facility, with offices on the upper floors and pedestrian streets and green parks between the buildings.

 

 

All buildings are already under construction

The other six buildings will have office space, of which O7 was the last to start construction, as it was previously the site of the planned organisational area for the works. Of the individual office buildings

  • following advanced civil engineering works on 20% O2, the foundations are currently being laid,   
  • the O3 building is under construction on the -1 floor,
  • the ground floor structure of the O4 office building is being shaped these weeks,
  • the construction of the O5 building is already underway on the 6th floor. Here, the installation of the element facades has already started on two floors.
  • The 5th floor structure of the O6 office building is under construction,
  • and the construction of O7, which has recently started, is currently at the excavation stage, and the construction of the -1.5 level is underway.

 

 

Another big boost for the project early next year

In the coming months, this large-scale project will proceed at an even more spectacular pace. According to the schedule, above-ground construction will begin on the O7 and O2 office buildings, and work will commence on two additional buildings, as described in our previous article. eye-catching element facades presented in our previous article. An interesting feature of the selected rust colour is that it appears in different shades depending on the effect of the light falling on it.

Early next year, infrastructure improvements related to the project in Zugló will also start.
