Despite the fact that the foundation stone of the community centre, which is being built by Épkar, was laid less than a year ago, the construction will soon reach 50% completion.

A long-awaited investment is progressing spectacularly in the 14th district, located in the north-eastern part of the Pest side of the capital: Épkar Zrt. is working on the Kertvárosi Idősek Otthona és Közösségi Központ (Kertváros Retirement Home and Community Centre) project on behalf of the local government and with state support. As announced at the groundbreaking ceremony in April 2023, a 15-year-long-awaited investment is coming to fruition, which will bring back a retirement home to the district.

Thirty single rooms to be completed

The Csobaj Street development will create a 50-bed, 21st century, state-of-the-art facility for the elderly in the suburbs who want a peaceful and safe retirement.

In the retirement home of the Developing Garden City programme

  • the number of single rooms is 30,
  • the number of double rooms will be 8,
  • and a four-bed room are planned.

 

 

The institution's topping-out ceremony will take place in October 2023 . Péter Kovács, district mayor, emphasised even at this stage, when the structure was completed, that the Épkar Zrt. was clearly doing an excellent job.

The post also shows that, currently

  • specialist works are ongoing inside the building,
  • work on the basic mechanical installation,
  • and the connection of water and heating,
  • and plasterboarding is also progressing,
  • and waterproofing works around the building are now being completed.
  • In addition, the locking structures of the terraces will be put in place.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, with occupants moving in from the beginning of 2025.
