One of the main tourist attractions of Zalaegerszeg renewed

The Alsóerdő is a popular tourist destination in Zalaegerszeg, where there are many attractions thanks to the developments of recent years. Recently, the 95-metre high TV tower and its surroundings, built between 1970-73 on the Basitai roof, have been given a new look, reports zaol.hu.

The reception area, the lift and part of the catering area of the tower, which is also important from an urban point of view, has been renewed. The TV tower has been given a spectacular decorative lighting, air-conditioning has been installed in the buffet, and the kitchen equipment and counters have also been renovated.

The building has received new roof insulation, the facade elements have been partially replaced and the lift has been renovated - said Kornél Pais Kornél, the managing director of the municipal LÉSZ Kft., which maintains the facility, at the press conference.

New benches and litter bins have been installed around the tower, and the road and pavement leading to it have been renovated.

The municipal investment of nearly 65 million HUF is planned to be followed by the improvement of the environment of the nearby Aranyoslapi spring. Mayor Zoltán Balaicz recalled that the Alsóerdő area of Zalaegerszeg had already seen significant investments in previous years, with the construction of a leisure park, a bike park, a hiking trail and the renewal of guest houses. The TV tower and its surroundings have been renovated in recent months.
