The rebirth of Tiszafüred's city centre continues
The town centre of Tiszafüred has a new look, the municipality of the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county municipality has won almost HUF 500 million in non-refundable funding for the investment in the Operational Programme for Regional and Urban Development Plus (TOP Plus), the project's communications company said on 30 April.
During the project, which is scheduled to end in October 2025, green areas will be renovated and new ones created, and outdoor games will be installed in the City Park playground by specialists. In addition, new paving will be laid on Rét Street, Deák Square, the courtyard of the cultural centre, the section between Fő Street, Rét Street and Kossuth Square, in front of the town hall, on Kiss Pál Street and Kossuth Square, they listed.
A cycle lane will be created on Rét Street, and pedestrian crossings and cycle crossings will be installed on the affected section. Bicycle racks will be installed in the municipality and stormwater drainage will be improved and upgraded.
This is not the first time that the centre of Tiszafüred has undergone significant development in recent years: In 2020, we reported that, among other things, the centre of the city in the Great Plain was beautified in a large-scale investment project with the work of HE-DO. In the summer of 2021, a large-scale project completion in the summer of 2021.
