What is being built?
The machines have been removed from the busy road of the Kiskunság - The second phase of the reconstruction is completed
The second phase of the renovation of Kopolyai Road has been completed. In autumn 2023, Soltút Kft., the contractor, began renovating the outlying section of the road – wrote baon.hu. In the first phase of the works, over a period of three months, the busy road was widened from five to seven metres along a 900-metre stretch with a half-lane closure.
Four thousand tonnes of asphalt were placed on the reinforced road base. The project included the construction of a one-and-a-half metre wide roadbed on both sides and the cleaning of drainage ditches along the reconstructed section.
Another thousand metres of road renewed
This spring, as reported on our website our portal reported, work began on another section of Kopolyai Road. The construction was once again carried out by the experts of Soltút Kft.. This time, a 1,000-metre section from Tinódi Road to the border of Kiskunhalas was renovated. The investment covered 12,000 square metres. In addition to the road renovation, a new transport hub was built and four bus stops were constructed.
Simplification of the traffic order
As in the previous phase, the traffic corridor was widened from five to six metres, and drainage and a new embankment were constructed. The aim of the works was to simplify the previous traffic regime at the Tinódi Street intersection. The construction of a turning lane here was expected to make the crossing safer and faster.
In parallel with the works, the preparation of the third phase of the renovation is also underway.
