Boilers weighing up to 45 tonnes will be produced at the new plant under construction in Nógrad

Polytechnik Hungária Kft. is building a biomass ashane production plant in Mátraszőlős, and has won HUF 788.51 million in conditionally reimbursable EU funding for the investment, the company said on 6 August.

The aim of the investment is to provide the company with a state-of-the-art manufacturing base to meet the growing demand for biomass combustion equipment worldwide. As described, the new production centre in Mátraszőlős will use state-of-the-art technology and will be able to produce both boiler main units and complete boilers.

The construction of the industrial facility with reinforced concrete structure will create a useful area of 4115.52 square metres, of which 390.82 square metres will be used for service premises and the rest will be used for production. The production hall will house six bridge cranes, which will also enable the production of the largest boilers of the Polytechnik group, weighing 45 tonnes, in Hungary

The project is scheduled for completion on 17 October.

It will be ready by October

According to the press release, the hot water for domestic use will be produced by a solar collector system based on renewable energy, thus reducing the company's ecological footprint.

The company will produce 100 per cent of its products at the new plant, which is expected to generate up to 50 per cent more revenue. Depending on market demand, they expect a return on investment of 3-5 years once production starts

According to publicly available company data, the company, which employs 45 people, had a turnover of HUF 903.88 million in 2023, compared to HUF 1.06 billion a year earlier. Polytechnik Hungária Kft. closed last year with a loss of HUF 129.8 million, compared to a loss after tax of HUF 11.23 million a year earlier.
