Homm built a new base for its 420 buses in Budaörs

On 17 October, Homm Kft. handed over its new 4,600 m² premises in Budaörs, where 35 employees will work in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.v=1816568531864465" target="_blank" rel="noopener">4,600 square metre premises in Budaörs, which will serve as the headquarters of the 35-year-old company and will also house a bus service and service centre.

As Balázs Tóth, the managing owner of Homm, explained, the old headquarters had limited their development, which is why they needed the new headquarters, which was built in almost 3 years. The government subsidy covered 10 percent of the HUF 2.5 billion investment, he added.

 

 

Managing owner Károly Homm stressed that without their partners, they would not have 420 buses and 650 employees, a base in Miskolc, Sárvár, Zalaegerszeg, Székesfehérvár, Kistelek and a headquarters in Budaörs.

He said that these 35 years have not been easy, but they have found a way out of the most difficult situations. And today they have reached a point where

market leaders in the transport of workers, providing local public transport in Budaörs and Biatorbágy, and official service for the Mercedes-Benz and Setra bus brands.

 

Important players in the national and European economy

 

 

Speaking about the company at the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development Tibor Navracsics said that if the owners had not been determined in the years of its foundation and during the crises of the past 35 years, the company would not exist today, meaning that a strong pillar of the Hungarian economy would be missing. The minister stressed that

the company has contributed a lot to the Hungarian economy, and through their European commitments they have become players in the European economy

 

Symbiotic relationship with Budaörs

Mayor Tamás Wittinghof said that there is a close relationship between the city and the company, mainly because of the operation of the minibus network in the city, but the relationship is also a two-way street, as Homm pays business tax to Budaörs, which is used to maintain the city, provide services and try to provide an ever better quality of life for its residents.

According to publicly available company data, Homm Kft. recorded net sales of HUF 9 billion and profits of HUF 160 million in 2023. A year earlier, it had posted sales of HUF 8.7 billion and a profit after tax of HUF 156 million.
