New crèche in the town of Alföld inaugurated
On 4 December, the 28-place Baptist nursery in Püspökladány was handed over, which was built with an investment of approximately 360 million forints and has two staff rooms and additional rooms covering 410 square metres. The project was carried out by the Esztergalom-based Németh "99 Bt., according to the public procurement notice , with the support of the EU's RRF programme.
At the event, the nursery is a place of love, care and safety, said Minister of State for Families at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (MOC) Zsófia Koncz at the opening ceremony.
He explained that while in 2010 there were 32,500 places in the country, today there are 68,000 places and three and a half times as many crèches as fourteen years ago. He added that five thousand new crèche places have been created in the country in just one year, and a hundred new crèches have opened in municipalities where there were none before.
There are 48 places in a municipal crèche in Püspökladány, and the newly opened 28-place Baptist institution can care for 76 children of crèche age in the town, he said.
Ferenc Mile, president of the Baptist Mission of Charity, said that their organisation won a 1.4 billion HUF grant for the construction of a crèche, which was used to create 112 crèche places in Püspökladány, Szada and Ózd.
