Central Europe's largest development begins with the construction of the special operations barracks in Szolnok
The foundation stone for a new military complex was laid in Szolnok, on the site of the old barracks on Thököly út. At the event, Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said that the special operations barracks in Szolnok would be one of the largest developments in Central Europe. The general contractor for the new military facility is ZÁÉV Építőipari Zrt..
The investment will be financed from national resources
The new military complex will be built exclusively with Hungarian budget funds. The special operations barracks in Szolnok, which will be built with an investment of HUF 59 billion, will be the new home of the special operations brigade, the special operations command and the regional special operations component command.
The Minister also announced that the first phase of the investment will be completed by 2026.
