Nyáregyháza's new crèche is already under construction by HÉP

A new nursery with two group rooms and capacity for 28 children is being built by Horváth Építőmester Zrt. (HÉP) in Nyáregyháza. The symbolic foundation stone of the facility was laid in a ceremony on 7 March, after construction had already begun with the handover of the work site, and is currently in the structural engineering phase. According to publicly available procurement data, the project is being implemented with EU support on behalf of the Nyáregyháza Local Government at a net cost of approximately HUF 230 million.

The nursery is built near the kindergarten

The new building is being constructed near the Napsugár Nursery in the town, so the event began with songs performed by the young children. This was followed by a speech from Tibor Pogácsás, the local Member of Parliament, and following the ceremony, the event was also covered on the Facebook website at explained – amongst other things – that

The expansion of the crèche network will strengthen the freedom of choice for families with young children, as a parent can return to work before the age of three.

The MEP pointed out that the number of places in Hungary has doubled compared to 2010, from 32 thousand to 65 thousand. Finally, Tibor Pogácsás congratulated the people of Nyáregyháza on the new development.

The next speech was given by Balázs Gulya, CEO of HÉP Zrt.. First of all, he thanked for the opportunity, because, as he stressed, it is a rare occasion that a representative of the contractor can speak even at a ground-breaking ceremony. He recalled that the project had been awarded through an open tender procedure, with 14 other companies competing for the right to carry out the works. He gave a detailed description of the building's parameters and technical content, including not only the floor area but also the technologies used.

The HÉP has recently won two awards for excellence

Balázs Gulya also took the opportunity to briefly introduce the HÉP Zrt., which has been present in the domestic construction industry for 24 years.

„We have already built a great deal in many places across the country: we have worked on renovations, historic building projects and the construction of industrial units. The developments we are particularly proud of in recent years include, on the one hand, the two-storey gymnasium at Szent Imre Grammar School in Budapest and, on the other hand, the renovation of the historic building of the Kecskemét Mayor's Office: we won the Construction Industry Quality Award in 2023 for both projects.”

He added: "But perhaps our favourite buildings are always those that are built for the future generation, for the youngest children: whether it is a school, a kindergarten or a crèche", and he explained why he thinks so: the children who grow up and learn in these buildings represent the future, and that is why it is worth working for them.

The CEO concluded his speech by adding that he hopes all locals will like the new building.

Construction progressing well

The line-up of speakers was brought to a close by Mayor Sándor Mészáros, who, in his Facebook post that very evening, wrote as follows: summarised his thoughts, noting that it was clearly visible on site that it was not just the ground-breaking that had begun, but that the construction of the building was also progressing at a good pace. „So we were able to show those present not just an empty site, but also something of the building itself” – he pointed out.

He stressed that "during the public procurement procedure we managed to find a contractor with the right expertise and references"He added that it is important for everyone that the materials and solutions used during the construction not only fully comply with the relevant standards and other regulations, but also with the requirements of the investor and the technical inspector.

Finally, the mayor thanked all those who have contributed to the building of the new institution and to providing the best possible conditions for young children in the municipality.

A building in the style of noble mansions is completed

The aim of the project is to economically realise a 2 classroom nursery with a total floor area of 285 square metres, with a large glass area and covered terraces connecting the classrooms to the surrounding garden

- according to the technical specifications of the public procurement for the building, which is already painting more and more spectacularly, and a similar source tells us that the style of the building evokes the old mansions and village schools of villages and farm towns with contemporary features.

Each classroom has a covered terrace

The nursery will be accessible via a covered terrace - a porch. The street wing of the T-shaped building will house the reception area, the staff rooms (staff room, changing rooms, manager's office) and the service rooms (kitchen, engineering/laundry).

The longitudinal wing will house the group rooms with associated covered terraces, common changing rooms and children's bathrooms. The wide covered terraces will allow young children to play or sleep outdoors in bright sunshine or in rainy weather.

The nursery is scheduled to be delivered by HÉP to the client at the end of 2025.
