Double-layer pavement reinforcement on nearly 10 km

The importance of the 3719 Sátoraljaújhely-Hollóháza-Kéked corridor is further enhanced by the fact that most of the traffic between the Zemplén region and the M30 motorway passes through it. Thus, the upgrading of the sections of the road between 14+200 - 23+785 km and 24+977 - 33+216 km has become a key issue. In the former work area,

9,585 metres of a total of 11,800 tonnes of asphalt concrete were used to reinforce the pavement with two layers of asphalt, and to construct a bench and a paved slab. The contractor completely reconstructed three bridges and replaced a large diameter culvert.

To create safer traffic conditions, new traffic signs and road width markers were installed, and nearly 500 metres of steel guardrail were installed.

Complete track structure replacement on some sections

On the other section of the 3719 road, 8239 metres of two-layer pavement reinforcement was also completed, using a total of 9,900 tonnes of asphalt concrete. During the reconstruction work, the entire road surface was replaced at the bottom of the road structures, covering an area of approximately 4,500 m2. The project also included the construction of embankments and the installation of traffic engineering elements, as well as the replacement of a large diameter culvert in the inner part of Hollóháza.

The road improvement was inaugurated in the presence of the MP of the region, Richárd Hörcsik, Gabriella Fűzériné Odrobina, Mayor of Hollóháza and Tamás Peiker, Director of Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt. Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén Vármegyei.
