One of the largest beaches in the Southern Great Plain could soon feature a waterside promenade
The 75-hectare Vadkerti (or Büdös) Lake, situated near Soltvadkert and renowned for its therapeutic waters, offers visitors excellent opportunities for swimming, fishing and water sports. The lake bed is covered with fine-grained silt, and the chemical composition of its water is said to help alleviate rheumatic complaints.
As the latest stage in a series of modernisation and expansion projects, Soltvadkert Town Council has launched a tender for the construction of a café terrace and a waterside promenade. The successful bidder will have nine months to complete the work. The deadline for applications is 30 June.
