The future of construction is digital, if you agree, here's your place!

Civil engineering, geodesy, geoinformatics, mechanical engineering and computer science students are all welcome to attend the Duna Group Szabadegyetem, which is being organised for the fourth time, from 11-13 August, according to a Duna Csoport press release.

BIM and digitalisation in the spotlight again

According to the summary, in line with the tradition of the past years, this year's event will be a relaxed and professional event, where participants will have the opportunity to gain insight into the behind-the-scenes of infrastructure construction, while making lifelong friendships with students from the seven universities invited.

This year's Duna Group Szabadegyetem is again based on the most interesting projects of the Hungarian construction industry, and this time again digitalisation, including the topic of BIM, will play a central role, which this year students will be able to learn about in practice. Accordingly, they will tour one of the country's most important bridge construction projects in Paks and visit the construction of the M44 motorway.

He added that if you are interested in the digital future of infrastructure construction in practice and even want to meet your future colleagues, the event at the BME Kármán Tódor College in August is the place to be.

The aim of the Free University is to bring the infrastructure builders of the future together in person during their student years and to introduce them to the digital construction industry.

"We want to show what road and bridge construction means in the context of digitalisation, including high-tech machines and technologies, or introduce students to the world of 3D models, drones and construction. All this in the field, in a practical, hands-on way!"

The three-day Duna Group Szabadegyetem is completely free of charge for all invited participants, but registration is required. Registration for the full catered three-day event will open soon.
