Road building

The Sárvár bypass may be further built

Published

The bypass of Sárvár will be widened, with the new road bypassing the city centre from the northwest and reaching the industrial area.

Around 1.6 kilometres of road will reduce the traffic and environmental impact on Sárvár, and the truck traffic serving the industrial area will be safer and faster.

A public procurement tender has been announced for the design of a 90 km/h, 2×1 lane national road. The new road will start at the junction of the Sárvár-Vát main road (No. 88) and the Sárvár III access road, crossing the Szombathely – Székesfehérvár railway line (where the longest span of the new road bridge over the railway is 19.35 metres) and connects to the Rábahídvég-Sárvár connecting road.

The designer is responsible for the section concerned

  • study plan,
  • preparation of environmental documentation,
  • obtaining an environmental permit (EVD),
  • preparing the necessary permit plans,
  • obtaining a road construction permit
  • and the preparation of the construction plans.
