A four-lane expressway connects Győr with Pápa from today

In our newspaper, we have reported several times reported on the construction of the most important 2×2 lane road in Transdanubia, which is being built by FŐMTERV Zrt. and UNITEF "83 Zrt. consortium. The 83-kilometre-long road between Pápa and Győr was built in two sections on behalf of Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium. The construction, which took approximately three years, was undertaken by Hungary's largest road construction companies:

• Between Pápa and Tét (18,4 km) on the Duna Aszfalt Zrt. was the general contractor, here the EuroAszfalt Kft. subcontracted the work (as part of this section, an access road was built at the end of the runway towards the airport in Pápa);
• Between Tét and Győr (17,6 km) on the Soltút Kft. the project was carried out under the general construction of the Colas-csoport was also a subcontractor.

The needs of the public and NATO have been taken into account

On the 2×2 lane motorway, designed for a speed of 110 km/h, as many junctions as possible were installed, so that between Pápa and Tét

• 15 artefacts
• two separate levels of nodes, and
• a railway overpass;

and on the section between Tét and Győr

• eight artefacts and
• four separate level junctions were built.

The ceremony was also addressed by Zoltán Kovács, Member of Parliament of Veszprém County and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
