A detailed photo gallery of the new four-lane road in Transdanubia

On Saturday, Transdanubia gained a new four-lane road: the new section of the 83 main road, built by Duna Aszfalt Zrt. and Soltút, was handed over. We have reported numerous times on the technical details of the 37-kilometre four-lane road built between Pápa and Győr, and this time we are publishing a photo gallery taken before the handover.

As we reported earlier, the Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium project, which took around three years to complete, included the four-lane widening of the main road, the construction of a link road to the airport in Pápa, six separate level crossings and a railway overpass. The development will greatly improve the previously very poor accident statistics on the 83 motorway, which also serves the agglomeration of Győr, and will halve the journey time between the airport in Pápa and Győr.
