This year's construction industry conference, Future of Construction, organised by Portfolio Csoport, draws attention to the changing times in the sector. The invited speakers and experts will attempt to answer the important question of where the practical application of innovations in the sector currently stands.

With a new name and new foundations, but with the same innovative approach and professionalism, Portfolio Csoport is organising the autumn networking and business summit event for the domestic construction industry at the Radisson Blu Béke Hotel in Budapest.

The former Construction Technology and Innovation conference is now called Future of Construction and will focus on the efficiency achievable with the latest technologies in practice on 11 November.

The event description highlights:

The time has come when only designers and contractors equipped with the latest technologies, the most recent innovations, and the most complex knowledge and solutions will be able to operate effectively, obtain work, and develop.

Cost efficiency, speed, precision and workforce optimisation are among the most important tasks everywhere. Technological innovations, digitalisation and robotisation, and state-of-the-art manufacturing, production and construction processes are rapidly transforming and shaping every aspect and player in the construction industry, from design to execution.

The challenges facing the construction industry, whether it be rationalising costs, reducing the number of errors, meeting sustainability targets or meeting deadlines, can all be achieved with the help of technological advances.

– reads the announcement. The professional event seeks answers to these challenges with the help of digitalisation, robotisation and state-of-the-art manufacturing and production processes.

The Future of Construction conference aims to bring together the most important players in the sector for the third time and showcase the industry's technological and innovative expertise.

The era of change in the construction industry has already begun

The one-day conference is divided into three sections. The main topic of the first section is that the final countdown has already begun in the industry. Artificial intelligence, digital construction management, automated project tracking and ESG compliance are no longer options, but basic requirements. Where does the construction industry stand now in integrating these technologies? ConTech is not a goal, but a key to long-term viability and competitiveness. The question is not whether we will introduce it, but whether we are fast enough to do so and whether we can recruit the best professionals. The speakers will seek answers to these questions.

Focus on AI and digitalisation

The second section explores the fact that the industry needs well-documented examples that are currently in operation. Solutions that are accessible not only to large companies, but also to the entire construction and supply chain. Best practice, open innovation and interdisciplinary knowledge sharing: these are the cornerstones of the construction industry of the future. In other words, the organisers are encouraging the transfer of knowledge.

„Progress is not an individual sprint, but a collective journey that we should undertake together, especially now, when every single decision has a future-shaping impact.”
