The crew of Magyar Építők captured images of work continuing into the night at the junction of the M44 motorway currently under construction near Kecskemét. The demolition of the old bridge on Main Road 5 marked an important step in the massive construction project being carried out by Hódút Kft., part of the Duna Group project: the enormous beams had to be lifted out of position one by one using a crane with a lifting capacity of 650 tonnes. We have written about the details of this complex process here.

The Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium project will see the creation of Hungary’s largest rural junction, involving the construction of a total of 22 kilometres of road. The technical handover of the entire junction is expected to be completed by the end of autumn 2026.
