Strabag uses green energy to build the Belgrade Waterfront neighbourhood mega project
In a major project on the banks of the Sava, the Austrian construction company has fitted 16 container offices with solar panels to power their work areas near the construction site with green electricity.
It published green news and a short video about the large-scale, multi-year project to develop an entire city district, the Belgrade Waterfront construction project, on the Strabag-csoport international Facebook page. As they wrote, the development will create a new living space in Serbia directly on the waterfront.
In the project, 16 containers on the construction site have been equipped with solar panels to generate green electricity for the large-scale container offices that will serve the new blocks next to the already completed buildings. A total of 102 panels, each with a capacity of 380 Wp, can produce 38 kW of power at peak times.
The energy generated is used by many electronic devices in offices, such as laptops, monitors, cooling and heating systems.
