Rheinmetall plant with state-of-the-art protection technology proven on site by AGO Steel

Recently, in connection with a series of significant investments in machine development, we presented the spectacular progress made in recent years by the Dombóvár-based company AGO Steel Kft. in Dombóvár, based on information provided by company manager Miklós Agócs. In our report, we already mentioned that wrote that while the company is currently working on numerous projects, it has already participated in special and interesting construction projects, such as the construction of the Rheinmetall factory in Zalaegerszeg.

The industrial jewel of Zala county

Now, with the help of the company manager, we are also looking at the closed in the factory completed next to the ZalaZone test track, carried out by AGO Steel Kft. has been completed. The ZÁÉV Zrt. and the KÉSZ Csoport as a subcontractor to the latter company.

The production hall of the Lynx plant, built on an area of almost 60 hectares, is one of the largest of its kind in Zala County, with a floor area of more than 25,000 square metres.

The tasks of AGO Steel in Zalaegerszeg

The wholly Hungarian-owned company was working on the metal structures of the tank factory, and was present at the construction site from August 2021 to March 2022. Their metal structure assembly and welding work included

• roof reinforcement,
• canopy,
• canopy stump,
• suspended ceiling support,
• and internal triggering elements were installed in the plant.

But the list is not exhaustive:

AGO Steel also contributed to the earthquake safety of the Rheinmetall plant, for example, by installing and welding metal connections between concrete and concrete.

We also learned that they used electrode welding and bolting, among other techniques, to ensure that the structures provided by the KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. were properly positioned in the precision-engineered combat factory.

Provided with focused attention and high expectations

Miklós Agócs also told our newspaper about this requirement of punctuality and its fulfillment: the tank factory received special attention from all the participants of the construction. The high quality supervision was accompanied by even higher than usual safety standards, which were of course adhered to. "In fact, I dare say that we took the obstacles in our stride - as a result, we were able to conclude a successful project."

When asked what it meant to work on such a special project, the manager explained that the customers placed even greater emphasis on the quality of welding than usual, and ultimately placed greater demands on AGO Steel.

"Here again, we were able to prove to ourselves and our customers that we can hold our own in difficult circumstances. They can count on us, we will not back down, whatever conditions they impose, we can deliver"
