Duna Pearl named Residential Property Development of the Year

The professional jury awarded the Duna Pearl residential park the highest rating at the Real Estate Awards real estate awards ceremony, making it the residential property development of the year, according to a statement by the developer Polat Holding. Duna Pearl comprises a four-star hotel, luxury apartments with a LEED rating, and premium retail space. The current price may attract the attention of investors to the still limited number of immediately available apartments and commercial premises.

First prize after gold certification

Just in the last few weeks, the New Suburbs residential complex has achieved Gold certification under the international industry standard LEED energy certification scheme. It is extremely rare for a residential complex to achieve a gold rating in a system that recognises the architectural and technical solutions of office buildings. The Real Estate Awards has now been awarded the Residential Development of the Year category. The ratings just achieved by Duna Pearl in Budapest also attest to the fact that the complex meets the highest standards of state-of-the-art design, efficient design and energy-efficient operation, ensuring a healthy environment.

Opened directly on the banks of the Danube, the new hotel adds to the tourist offer of the 13th district with 105 guest rooms and a rooftop bar: most of the rooms overlook the river and Margaret Island. The Duna Pearl complex, including a residential complex with 193 apartments, is designed as the new centre of the district.

Renovated streets, gardens, renewed environment

The Duna Pearl is a €75 million major investment that uses at least 20 percent renewable energy in line with EU building regulations, including a state-of-the-art air-to-air heat pump system and in-built cooling and heating solutions. Move-in tenants will receive apartments equipped with premium fitted kitchens, built-in furniture, roller blinds, LED suspended ceiling mood lighting and spotlights.

As part of the construction, the surrounding streets were renewed, pavements were renovated, new park areas were created, and green spaces were opened on all sides, creating new public and community spaces for the residents and visitors of the district.
