Market subsidiary continues its steady development with a new concrete plant

A new concrete plant has been installed at PREbeton Zrt. in Erdőtelek. Market Építő Ltd reported on the development of its subsidiary on its social media page. which has been present in the town in Heves County since July 2020.

Annual production could increase up to 66 000 cubic metres of concrete

Market News PREbeton has expanded its production facility to meet ever-increasing production demands and to ensure consistent production.

The prefabrication construction company's HUF 960 million investment was also explained in detail: the tower plant, renovated to meet 21st century requirements, will add a 2.5 cubic metre compulsory mixer and four cement silos, each with a capacity of 100 tonnes, to its production capacity. Annual production will thus increase to up to 66 000 cubic metres of concrete, creating new opportunities for the company's customers.

"Equipped with state-of-the-art software and engineering, the plant will not only increase efficiency, but also ensure smooth winter operations," the statement reads.

Sustainability was also a key consideration for the project, as PREbeton is a priority for reducing the carbon footprint of the construction industry. The investment has doubled the size of their solar PV system, which now has the capacity to generate 400 kW of power, which can cover 75-80% of the factory's energy needs. In addition, a unique 200 kW capacity battery pack has been installed to further reduce energy consumption.

Continuous development since its creation

As a member of Market Csoport, PREbeton handed over its new precast reinforced concrete plant built in Erdőtelek on 17 July 2020. Since then, it has shown dynamic growth, as our articles have revealed: this is evidenced, among other things, by the fact that its turnover tripled in the first three years. Its continued growth was also demonstrated by the fact that in July 2022, production began at PREbeton's second plant, which increased its production area from 10,000 square metres to 20,000 square metres.

PREbeton, which is basically only dealing with fair-faced concrete and uses almost 100 percent technology sourced from the West, has established processes in its plant that are mostly new in Hungary. Meanwhile, the products produced by the company have played a key role in major projects carried out by Market Csoport, including the BudaPart project, the JYSK logistics centre in Ecseri and the MOL headquarters in Budapest.
