The ÉVOSZ Media Series recognises outstanding professionals in construction communication with a trio of awards

They draw attention to the work of some of the sector's most significant projects and initiatives, which have often been left in the background.

The ÉVOSZ Media Awards, founded to recognise credible and excellent construction communication, will be presented for the first time in 2024

  • from Construction Markething Communication of the Year Award,
  • from Construction Marketing Campaign of the Year Award
  • and the Construction Industry Corporate Responsibility of the Year Award

at the ÉVOSZ festive general assembly on 12 December.

These awards are unique in the Hungarian construction industry; there has never before been a precedent in Hungary for recognising construction industry communications professionals in this way. Applications are open until 8 November; the entry criteria are available at evosz.hu-n.

Outstanding performance should be recognised

One of the aims of the Media Awards is to recognise the outstanding achievements of marketing, PR and communications professionals in the construction industry, according to a statement sent to the newspaper. This is both to promote the social image of the construction industry and to promote recognition of communication professionals within the sector.

They aim to,

to encourage the value-added work of the outstanding professionals already working in the sector and to put the construction industry firmly on the marketing map.

All this is in line with the division's 2019 establishment in 2019, positive, value-based communication, and the recognition of their achievements by a wider section of society. To achieve these goals, recognised and respected professionals are needed.

Special work, in special terrain

„In March this year, we organised the department's first annual Marketing Communications Conference in Bük, where, in addition to listening to professional presentations, the core of a broader community of construction industry communications professionals was formed. I would like to strengthen and support this as much as possible,” said Péter Kincses, founding president of the ÉVOSZ Media Section (magyarepitok.hu), in connection with the establishment of the award.

"There is a clear need for excellent construction marketing communications and the outstanding representatives of this need to be recognised. The jury's awards will make this tangible and raise awareness among the rest of the construction industry and the wider marketing profession of the challenges and achievements that are being made in this unique field."

„Authentic communication is extremely important for ÉVOSZ, and the Media Department has already supported this with several initiatives, among which I would particularly like to highlight Spakli ’21, the first Hungarian podcast dealing with construction economics, implementation, development and design,” added the department chair.

"In Spakli’21, we will also be able to report on the most significant projects and talk to key players in the sector, including the Minister for Construction. With the new awards we are setting up, we will also be recognising innovations of such significance, or the work of leading national companies with successful marketing campaigns, or of professionals who interpret the stories of the buildings that are important and known to all" , he concluded.
