A professional day to deepen young people's knowledge

A highlight of the training were the two thematic professional days, which we provided for both high school and university students - József Zóka, Head of HR, told our newspaper. He added that the transfer of information and knowledge was more organised.

"The aim was to expand their knowledge and experience beyond the knowledge and experience they have gained in their own workplace, and to show them specific construction operations that they rarely see in everyday life.

This is why we presented the construction of the Szentendre mobile dam system among our infrastructure developments, and why we included the construction of bridges, various geophysical methods and the reconstruction of the Cegléd wastewater treatment plant among the topics. The BIM team also gave us an insight into the knowledge and tools of the future. We believe that this will help them to orientate and specialise in their studies."

Digitalisation and modelling at close quarters

The first day, as the title suggests, focused on digitalisation, modelling and innovative solutions for the construction industry. During the presentations, the young people were given the opportunity to visit projects where these technologies were applied or used.

Experienced professionals introduced the BIM (building information modelling) and Dalux software, which provides innovative digital technologies for the construction industry, explaining their nature and usefulness in implementation. They were able to view the 3D modelling of a specific project and experience the use of point cloud laser scanners and 360-degree photography in practice during the construction of the apartment building on Pálya Street in Budapest. The secrets of infrastructure development

On the second technical day, the participants had the opportunity to take a look at infrastructure development and related interesting facts. For example, they were given a deeper insight into bridge construction and geophysical methods. They were also shown how Hungary's first mobile dam system was built as an effective flood protection system, and how a wastewater treatment plant works and how its reconstruction is carried out.

Participants visited two locations as part of this professional day: they had the opportunity to view the recently completed TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotelt, where SWIETELSKY Magyarország Kft. shell&core carried out civil engineering and structural work. They were able to admire the exclusive sky bar on top of the building and view the asphalting and bridge construction work carried out on the Budapest Airport site.
