What is being built?
The Village Hall will finally be built next to the Mayor's Office in Csopak
The picturesque town of Csopak, located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton in the immediate vicinity of Balatonfüred, will be enriched with a multifunctional community space. According to Mayor Tibor Ambrus's his social media page, a contract was signed with the contractor in February for the long-awaited project to finally be realised. The first phase of the new community centre will be built in 2023 by VEMÉV-SZER Kft., winner of the 2023 Business of the Year award.
According to the EU's public procurement notice, the contractor was the best bidder out of the five valid bids received, with a net value of around HUF 911 million.
In addition to the construction of the functional spaces of the two-storey community building, the tender optionally includes the construction and paving of the outdoor environment, as well as the construction of a small-scale independent building directly connected to the Village Hall, which is an integral part of the Village Hall and is suitable for the provision of community services. The complex would include a spacious internal courtyard with associated car parking, which would also allow for the provision of quality outdoor activities.
In the basement, there will be a rehearsal room of about 100 square metres with dressing rooms and toilets, on the ground floor of the Village Hall, a theatre with a gallery (with overhead lighting), a catering unit (i.e. a bistro or restaurant) and a special room for smaller events, and on the upper floor, meeting rooms, offices and work rooms.
Quantification of the investment
The planned activities would include
- 9810 m2 of formwork work,
- 4940 m3 of soil excavation,
- 1517 m3 reinforced concrete structure construction,
- 178 tonnes of reinforcing steel installation,
- 922 square metres of carpentry,
- 482 metres of utility lines laid,
- and an optional 1385 square metres of outdoor paving.
The Village Hall to be built at 99 Kossuth Lajos Street has a useful floor area of 1,882 square metres. The building will be accessible to people with reduced mobility and will have a lift between floors. The Village Hall would also operate with renewable solar energy in line with modern requirements.
According to the rules of the conditional procurement procedure, the construction contract has 180 days from the date of conclusion to enter into force.
