Samsung's domestic supplier has built a new factory
Start Plast, located in Újhartyán, Pest county, has reached another milestone: the inauguration ceremony of its new production hall of almost 1400 square metres, which will be operational by the end of 2024.
The 1.35 billion HUF investment in the project has equipped the injection moulding machine park with the state-of-the-art Borche Ltd. equipment, which enables more efficient and reliable production processes. The development was carried out by Zolépfer Kft. with a state contribution of approximately 338 million HUF.
Speeches were given by Levente Magyar, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Norbert Gulyás, Managing Director of Start Plast Kft., György Major, Deputy Mayor of Újhartyán, and László Feldman, President of the constituency.
Start Plast Kft. is also a supplier to Samsung Electronics Zrt. plastics in Jászfényszaru, which accounts for the majority of its business - and with the new plant, it further strengthens its stable, long-term partnership. Accordingly, representatives from Samsung Electronics attended the event, as well as Chinese and domestic partners, including a delegation from Borche Ltd., making international networking an important part of the handover ceremony.
"The newly inaugurated plant is not only another milestone in the life of our company but also an important milestone in the development of the challenging Hungarian plastics industry" - emphasized Norbert Gergely, managing owner of Start Plast Kft.. He also added: "Our goal is to actively participate in the growth of industrial production as a Hungarian SME, as well as to increase our production efficiency and expand our market opportunities by applying the latest technologies."
Stable partnerships and future developments
The new hall will also serve as a bridgehead for China's Borche, which can strengthen its role in Hungary and the region from here, and Samsung can count on the support of Start Plast as a reliable and stable partner in the future.
The company in Újhartyán has also created new jobs through the development and is actively looking for growth opportunities in the future. The company is open to further development, building on the programmes already open to SMEs, and plans to continue to raise new funds and take advantage of government business stimulus programmes.
