Nyíregyháza Industrial Park
The Municipality of Nyíregyháza has published the tender for the second phase of the project, which includes the development of the wastewater treatment plant, the water utility network and the transport infrastructure of the industrial park.

The local government of Nyíregyháza has published a conditional procedure in the EU Public Procurement Bulletin published a conditional procedure for construction tasks related to the expansion and infrastructure development of the Nyíregyháza Industrial Park.

On this basis, Phase II will consist of three parts:

  • development of the public utility yard and sewage treatment plant,
  • water utility transmission lines and waterworks upgrades, and
  • improving the general infrastructure of the industrial park.

As we have already reported one of the region's one of the region's leading construction companies is also playing its part in the industrial park's major investments with theKe-Víz 21 zRt. is also playing its part in the major investments in the industrial park. In the first phase, they will be involved in road and utility construction tasks.

New waste water treatment plant and capacity increase

In the first part of Phase II, a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant will be built, which will be part of the public utility yard.

In addition to the current 2000 cubic metres/day of wastewater load, an additional 5000 cubic metres/day of load is coming from the park, so an increase in capacity is essential. To this end, a new transfer station will be constructed. Wastewater treated at the plant will be conveyed via a pipeline to the receiving water, the Simai river.

Extension of water supply and grey water network

The second part includes major improvements to the drinking water and grey water networks. The industrial park will be supplied with drinking water by the waterworks in Tó Street and the new 11 km long pressure pipeline, which will be extended there, as well as communications substructures and fibre optic cables.

For the supply of grey water, purified water produced at the municipal wastewater treatment plant is piped to the public water supply yard via a nearly 12-kilometre-long pipeline. As part of the project, the Tó Street, Paszab and Nyírtelek (Gávavencsellő) water treatment plants will be upgraded, partly by installing new technology and partly by converting existing ones.

Road network, utilities and environmental planning

In the third part, the transport and utility infrastructure of the industrial park is developed. New internal access roads, cycle paths and bus shelters will be built on the northern side of the M3 motorway, together with a link road from the 4925 motorway to the roundabout. In addition, the renovation of the railway crossing and the construction of service roads are also included.

Utility improvements will include the construction of drinking water, waste water and grey water networks, as well as new electricity, lighting and telecommunications systems. The replacement of the gas distribution network is also part of the works. New planting will also be carried out to provide the industrial park with a modern, sustainable environment for the companies that will move in.

The deadline for receipt of bids is 7 October 2025, with 745 and 685 days available for planning.
