New classrooms and modern spaces to be added to the Felsőtárkány Primary School
The Eger District Centre published a call for tenders in the EU Public Procurement Bulletin for the expansion of the Felsőtárkány Primary School call for tenders for the expansion of the Felsőtárkány Primary School. The public procurement was designated as conditional.
According to the description, the institution, built in 1963, consists of three floors (basement, ground floor, first floor) to which a two-storey wing has been added. The two teaching floors, together with the gymnasium, are used for educational purposes, while the basement technical floor of the original building is used for heating and fuel storage.
The following spaces will be created by adding a floor:
- 4 classrooms;
- 1 classroom;
- 5 group rooms;
- 2 studios;
- wet room (with accessible toilet);
- road users;
- mechanical room.
A new staircase with a new lift will be built to ensure barrier-free access and use, and barrier-free toilets will be provided on each level. There will also be a reception area on the ground floor, and teaching and administration spaces will be created using the street-facing classrooms of the newer part of the building.
Existing spaces will be upgraded
In addition to the expansion of the institution, the existing classrooms will also be renovated and modernised. All classrooms will be equipped with hot and cold water hand-washing facilities and the heating system will be upgraded. The kitchen will also be remodelled, replacing the rooms at the south-west end of the ground floor, and a new external waste storage area will be created. 21 additional parking spaces will be built, 1 of which will be barrier-free.
The necessary extinguishing water can be provided by installing 2 new hydrants on the existing drinking water backbone across the street, opposite the two end points of the building. The extension will include the installation of a smoke detection system throughout the school. In the part of the building to be converted, the entire electrical network will be replaced, with the installation of a smoke detection system and a directional lighting network.
- Useful floor area of the existing school 1.878,97 m2
- The new premises have a useful floor area of 768 ,57 m 2
- The total useful floor area is 2.647,54 m2
- Useful floor area affected by renovation 1263,76 m2
Arts education and heritage conservation
Art education is a priority at the institution, with a three-decade history of music education. It is one of the largest music education institutions in the Eger School District Centre.
Folk dance also plays an important role, with timetabled classes in the lower school. The pupils involved in folk dance education are traditional and transcend the institutional framework, including the broadest age groups of the municipality, and form the largest traditional folk dance group in Heves County.
In order to maintain the growing number of students, the socially recognised artistic education, including instrumental education, and the high quality of teaching, the expansion of the institution is justified and inevitable.
Deadline for receipt of proposals: 9 October 2025.
