The construction of a new expressway link to Transylvania is underway

A press conference on the development of the M49 motorway was held in Nyírmeggyes on 30 August. Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium is investing in the construction of a four-lane road between the M3 motorway and the border crossing point near Satu Mare. The first phase of the project is currently being implemented by Duna Aszfalt Építő Zrt. and will cover 28.15 km of the motorway.

In July, our newspaper also published a detailed project article on the development, which started this spring and is currently under construction, according to our information, as a massive earthwork on the main line. The work will include four separate grade-separated interchanges, 22 bridge structures, one complex and one simple rest area, and the construction of a bike path at four locations. A bridge will also be built over the Kraszna River and a mobile barrier will be installed along the river.

Wednesday's event was attended by János Lázár, Minister of Construction and Transport; Gábor Kereskényi, Mayor of Satu Mare; Sándor Kovács, Member of Parliament and Attila Tilki, Member of Parliament.
