The new Csongrád-Csanád cycle route will start from a town on the Tisza

We have reported on several occasions recently – road renovations or during a spectacular water management development demolished water tower – Mindszent and Szegvár. The two towns in south-eastern Hungary are now back in the construction news, as a complex design competition has been announced for a cycle path to connect them.

As published in the EU public procurement notice, the Csongrád-Csanád County Municipality has designated the new cycle route from km 15+467 of the Szentes-Mindszent-Hódmezővásárhely road 4521 in Mindszent to km 8+322 in Szegvár (up to the Kórógy bridge).

The connection is expected to be completed as a combined pedestrian and cycle path in the residential part of Mindszent, as a 2×1 lane cycle path in the suburban part, and as a reconstruction of an existing cycle path in the Szegvár area. The new section is estimated to be 7.145 km long.
