Strabag renovated more than 10 kilometres of the Balaton Bringakör
A total of 10.5 kilometres of the Balaton Cycle Route in Veszprém and Zala counties, which does not require a licence, has been renovated. More than half of the 205-kilometre-long Balaton Cycle Route has been gradually renovated in recent years, and this time the section between Balatonudvari and Vonyarcvashegy has been made more comfortable and safer for cyclists , according to a press release from the investor Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium (ÉKM). As previously reported, the work that has now been completed was carried out by Strabag-csoport.
The improvement mainly consisted of localised and full resurfacing of existing residential streets, and partly of widening and full asphalting of existing cycle path sections, as well as pavement marking and the installation of KRESZ and road signs on all sections concerned.
These works were carried out in Veszprém county, covering a total of 7813 metres
- Local pavement repair, signage, pavement marker painting of the mixed traffic section of Gesztenye row in Balatonudvari, 564m long.
- Local pavement repair, signage, pavement marker painting in Balatonakali in the length of 1354m on Vasút row, Kossuth Lajos street, Petőfi Sándor street.
- Local pavement repair, signposting, pavement mark painting of the mixed traffic road section in front of Császtai beach in Révfülöp, length 213m.
- In Badacsonytomajon 3946m length of the Roman road local, or predominantly complete resurfacing with wearing course replacement, signposting, pavement marking painting.
- Also in Badacsonytomaj, 220m of the affected section of Vasút Street, complete pavement repair, construction of a bicycle connection, signage, pavement marking.
- In Szigliget, the construction of a cold remix pavement base and the reconstruction with 2 layers of asphalt of the heavily deformed section of the Szigligeti access road (620m long) affected by the cycle path (1516m long), the replacement of the entire surface of the rest of the path with a wearing course, widening, signposting, pavement marking.
The gross value of the Veszprém phase of the development was HUF 414 million.
In Zala county, a total of 2709 metres of road were worked on in Balatongyörök and Vonyarcvashegy
In Balatongyörök, these tasks have been carried out:
- 20m change of the traffic regime at the junction of Mandulás road, local pavement repairs, signage, pavement markings.
- Demolition of 48m of existing cycle path on the paved road leading to the beach of Szépkilato, construction of a new cycle path, installation of street lighting at the junction, signage, painting of pavement markings.
- Replacement of the deteriorated railway crossing of the paved road leading to the beach in the Beautiful View, length 168m, element STRAIL, local pavement repairs, signage, pavement mark painting.
- 433m length of mixed traffic road section in front of Balatongyöröki Strand, local pavement repair, signage, pavement marking.
- Widening, edging, full asphalting, signposting, pavement painting of the existing cycle path along the Balatonparti event area for 131m.
- 162m of local resurfacing, full asphalting, signposting and pavement marking of the cycle path on the section of the route that is in a severe state of disrepair due to root overgrowth, as a continuation of the previous section up to the Boat Harbour.
- Local pavement repair, signage, pavement mark painting on 272m of Böngyér street.
In Vonyarcvashegy, the Strabag was built in two sections, and these sub-tasks were carried out:
- Replacement of the wearing course, signposting, pavement markings and painting of almost the entire length of the affected section of 445m of Bath Street.
- Local resurfacing, widening, edging, full asphalting, signposting, pavement marking, painting of the 1030m long section of the cycle path between the sports ground and the port.
The total gross value of the Somogy section of the development was HUF 274 million.
