Drinking water supply system in the Danube coastal region to be renewed in Fejér
The drinking water supply systems of seven towns along the Danube in Fejér County will be renovated, with the investment of 13.232 billion forints from European Union and domestic sources, according to an announcement by Dunántúli Regionális Vízmű Zrt on 16 January. According to EU public procurement data, the contractor is Mészáros és Mészáros Zrt..
According to the press release, the project aims to improve the drinking water supply of the settlements in the region - Adony, Beloiannis, Besnyő, Iváncsa, Kulcs, Pusztaszabolcs, Velence - by using the Ercs aquifer and expanding the well series with 3 new wells, while increasing the water treatment capacity and modernizing the technology.
A 900-metre backbone line will be built, a two-way upgrading will be carried out in the direction of Venice and Kulcs, and new transmission lines will be built in the direction of Kulcs, Venice, Beloiannis and Besnyő, totalling almost 25 kilometres.
Work will end in 2025
In Besnyő, Beloiannisz, Iváncsán, Adony and Pusztaszabolcs, a new pressure booster station and a disinfection plant will be constructed; in the above settlements, with the exception of Pusztaszabolcs, a new globe bus and site reconstruction will be carried out; and in Besnyő, Beloiannisz and Iváncsán, a new volume measuring facility will be built.
The development is being carried out by a consortium of Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium and Dunántúli Regionális Vízmű Zrt.. The physical completion date of the 100% grant-intensive project is the end of 2025.
