Sports equipment for the future of students
He ceremoniously accepted the Teach for Hungary (TM) Programme solemnly accepted the donation of Market Építő Zrt., which will be used to purchase new sports equipment for the 110 primary schools participating in the TM programme. The donation was symbolically accepted by Gabriella Hajnal, President of the Klebelsberg Centre, at an event organised by the Móra Ferenc Primary School in Valkó on the occasion of Hungarian Student Sports Day.
One of the main goals of the Let's Teach for Hungary programme is to ensure that by 2030 all children in primary school today have at least a vocational qualification or are in further education.
Launched on 5 December 2018, the programme mentors undergraduate students in primary school, grades 6-8, who are disadvantaged and lacking opportunities. The success of the initiative is demonstrated by the fact that 800 students from 26 universities are now mentoring 3,700 primary school pupils in 110 primary schools across the country.
Show a vision for the future
Market Építő Zrt. will support 110 educational institutions with a total of HUF 3 million, which schools can spend on sports equipment. At the event, Gabriella Hajnal, President of the Klebelsberg Centre, received the sports equipment vouchers. In his speech, Dr. László György, Government Commissioner for the TM Programme, said: "The aim is to give children who do not receive enough encouragement at home a tangible future through mentors. We show them where they can learn, where they can work, and they can always count on their mentor.
We share a common cause with businesses in Hungary to provide a vision for the future for children growing up. That's why the strategic partnership with Market Építő Zrt. is so important, enabling us to deliver programmes like the ones we have today, which offer real experience and real help."
Common values, common purpose
Dr. Péter Szász represented Market Építő Zrt. at the event: as he said, "When we got to know the Let's Teach for Hungary Programme, we immediately felt that we were working along common values. When we first met the programme, we felt that it was an opportunity to bring young people living in small villages closer to a more successful future.
It's a clever initiative that, as they say, doesn't give you a fish, but a net.
This is the approach that we share and which we stand by responsibly and joyfully. We believe it is important to provide children with inspiring examples and experiences that help them to realise that with perseverance, knowledge and community, they can achieve anything." And as a strategic partner, our country's leading construction company is committed to supporting the next generation for the long term.
In the framework of this cooperation, Market Építő Zrt. not only provides financial resources for sports and summer camps, but also opens its doors to students to get hands-on experience of the construction industry.
