99 flats to be built on the Balaton shore in Fonyód

Cordia will commence construction of The View in Fonyód this month. The apartments with balconies and direct access to the waterfront will be built next to the public beach, close to the harbour.

Hungary's leading residential developer, Cordia, will begin construction of its latest project, The View, in November on the southern shore of Lake Balaton in Fonyód, according to a statement sent to our newspaper by the company. The apartments, which offer panoramic views of Badacsony and are located directly on the waterfront, are recommended as permanent or second homes, as well as for investment purposes.

They add: as a preferred location, the village CSOK can also be used for the purchase.

Construction is underway in the immediate vicinity of the public beach.

Each of the 99 flats has a balcony or terrace. The project is being built next to the harbour, while the stretch of coastline in front of it will continue to function as a public beach, just a few steps away for residents.

The façade of the building will be bronze-coloured, and there will be several terraces with planters, so the development will fit in with the atmosphere of Lake Balaton. A communal space will also be created on the site.

The landscaped, enclosed inner garden will feature a barbecue area and playground, providing residents with a comfortable space to spend time together.

Several of the surface car parks will also be suitable for charging electric cars.

„In recent years, more and more people have been using their properties on the shores of Lake Balaton not only as holiday homes, but also as second homes. The spread of remote working and a more flexible lifestyle has enabled many people to move to the lake for the whole summer and live there on a daily basis. In response to this market trend, we launched the development of The View in Fonyód, which is our first project outside Budapest on the Hungarian market,” said Ágnes Korsós, project director of the development.

15 minutes from the railway station

Fonyód is easily accessible by car and train; the residential park is located just a 15-minute walk from the railway station. Shopping facilities and essential services are within walking distance, while the immediate surroundings offer peace and quiet: the railway tracks are located at a sufficient distance from the development.
