How the MKIF is being prepared for the safe extension of the M1 motorway - gallery
We regularly report on the preparations for the development of the M1 motorway, which will enter its main construction phase within months. Our newspaper regularly reports on this huge investment, and recently, as part of a comprehensive interview with Tamás Németh, MKIF Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt. The extension of around 80 km will
The M1 will be resurfaced from the M0 motorway to the Concó rest area in the Ács and Bábolna area and widened to 2×3 lanes + ITS lane (the latter abbreviation stands for intelligent stopping lane).

In preparation for the widening of the M1 motorway, emergency bays are being set up every 2-3 kilometres.
The aim is to allow people to leave the lanes as quickly as possible and wait for help outside the barrier in the event of technical or other problems during the extension.
In addition to the bays, a truck rescue service will be on standby at the engineering sites involved in the extension, from 0 to 24 hours, so that in the event of a technical failure or accident, the track can be freed in the shortest possible time, they add.
